Three leaders of the anti-discrimination student movement were released from the police station by Hannan Masud, senior coordinator of the National Citizen Party (NCP), amid allegations of creating chaos.

He added that the students created trouble by going to Dhanmondi Police Station. He further stated that he would go there at the request of the Deputy Commissioner of Police to mediate the issue, as the administration did not want to file any complaints against them.
Hannan Masud also mentioned that there was a person present at a banner of an anti-fascist platform who might be involved in the chaos. He assured that full cooperation was being provided to the administration, and those responsible for the chaos would be arrested soon. The Deputy Commissioner of Police has been informed about the matter.
