protest-by-students-in-gazipur-against-highway-blockade

Alright, let’s give this a shot:

So, like, this thing happened in Gazipur where students were like protesting and stuff. Apparently, they blocked this mega highway because a student died in a car accident and they wanted to build like a foot overbridge or whatever. So, on Sunday morning, the students started this whole protest on the Dhaka-Mymensingh mega highway.

The police and local peeps said that this dude Omar Faruq, a ninth grade student at Shah Sufi Udin High School in Purbachal, got seriously injured in a car accident on Tuesday and then passed away on Thursday while getting treatment. So, in response to this incident and the demand for constructing a foot overbridge in the Purbachal area, students from schools and madrasas started protesting. They even blocked the Dhaka-Mymensingh mega highway, causing a huge traffic jam and all that jazz. The police went to the scene to try and control the situation, you know.

The Deputy Inspector of Police at Gazipur Metropolitan’s Sadar Thana, Monir Hossain, said that the students were blocking the mega highway to protest the student’s death in the car accident and to demand the foot overbridge construction. The police are trying to control the situation, apparently. So, like, it’s a pretty intense situation over there.

I’m not really sure why this matters, but it seems like the students are really passionate about this whole thing. Maybe it’s just me, but I feel like there could be a better way to handle this, you know? Like, blocking a highway seems a bit extreme, but hey, what do I know? Just reporting what’s going on, folks.
