Arrest of Three Leaders of Bogura Awami League and Jubo League in Dhaka
In a shocking turn of events, police have arrested three leaders from the Bogura district branch of Awami League and Jubo League in the capital city of Dhaka. According to confidential information, on Friday night, they were apprehended from Gulistan in Dhaka.
The arrested individuals are Aminul Islam Doubleu (45), the general editor of Bogura district Jubo League, Masrafi Hero (35), the youth and sports editor of Bogura district Awami League, and Arifur Rahman Arif (35), a former councilor of Ward 10 of Bogura Municipality and a leader of Jubo League. Sources from the district police reveal that these three leaders have multiple cases against them related to student killings, explosions, and attacks during the anti-violence movement last year. They are also accused of actively participating in anti-government conspiracies in Dhaka for a long time. The registered cases include serious allegations of murder, treason, and inciting violence.
The sources further inform that the arrested individuals may be brought back to Bogura on Saturday morning and presented before the court on the same day. It is worth mentioning that the violent anti-violence movement in July-August 2024 took a brutal turn in various parts of the country, including Bogura. During that time, several students were seriously injured in attacks, and one person lost his life. Aminul Islam Doubleu, Masrafi Hero, and Arifur Rahman Arif have been directly implicated in the incidents related to these events.
