Dhaka: The upcoming July’s leaders of the Unity of July have demanded the ban on Awami League, formed by various social-cultural platforms.
On Wednesday (May 7), they informed this at a human chain organized at the press club in the capital demanding the ban on Awami League.

The protagonist of the revolution, Sharif Osman Hadi, said in the human chain that the scenes of the July massacre need to be judged within the next ’36 July’. The trials of the Pilkhana and Shapla massacres need to be conducted. July Unity is not a political party. He said, it must be banned within ’36 July’. If not, the ’36 July’ will also be surrounded by the Secretariat. It will not be possible to remove anyone from where the conspiracy is still going on. No one will be allowed to play politics with the blood of the martyrs of July.
Injured Babu Ahmad, in the July uprising, said those who carried out the mass killings of Pilkhana in 2009, Shapla in 2013, the killings in the Modi protest in 2021, and the recent Awami League mass killings in the People’s Uprising of 2024. We want the trial of this militant organization. As long as we, the Bangladeshis, are alive, we will not allow any organization of militants in Bangladesh.
