Senior Advocate becomes 5 lawyers in the Supreme Court

Dhaka: Five lawyers have been enrolled as Senior Advocates in the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court. A notice about this was published on the Supreme Court’s website on Friday (May 9).

In addition, 85 people have been enrolled as lawyers in the Appellate Division. The Supreme Court’s notice states that on May 6, a committee for enrollment was reorganized under the chairmanship of Chief Justice Dr. Syed Refaat Ahmed, with Appellate Division judges M. Ashfaqul Islam, Jubayer Rahman Chowdhury, M. Rezaul Haque, SM Amjadul Haque, AKM Asadujjaman, and Farah Mahbub.

On May 8, during the committee meeting, a decision was made to enroll 5 lawyers as Senior Advocates in the Appellate Division based on the independent opinions of each member. They are Muhammad Naoshad Jamir, Muhammad Ibrahim Khalil, Muhammad Arshadur Rouf, Monir Hossain, and Muhammad Belayet Hossain. The application for enrollment as Senior Advocates for 20 people has been put on standby. Apart from this, a decision was made to enroll 85 people in the Appellate Division as lawyers. The applications of 84 people have been put on standby.
