gas-leak-explosion-in-gazipur-claims-five-lives

So there was this super tragic incident that went down in Gazipur, where five people got seriously hurt in a gas leak explosion. The latest victim was a 10-year-old kid named Tanjila, who sadly passed away on Sunday night due to the injuries. Dr. M. Shaon Bin Rahman from the National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute confirmed the news, stating that Tanjila suffered burns on 90% of her body. She was in critical condition and didn’t make it through the night. To make matters worse, Tanjila’s mother had also died a few days earlier in a similar accident. She was only 5 months old. And get this, four other people got injured in the same blast and unfortunately didn’t survive either.

Before this heartbreaking incident, on the evening of April 27, there was another explosion in a house in the Mogorkhal area of Gazipur. Those affected were Taslima Akhtar (30), Taslima’s daughter Tanjila (10), neighbor Sima (30), Parveen (35), and Parveen’s one and a half-year-old son Ayan. Ayan’s uncle Arif Hossain shared that they lived in Munshiganj’s Gojaria Upazila. Ayan’s father, Majharul Islam, worked in the garment industry, while his mother, Parveen, was a homemaker. On the day of the incident, Parveen was at home with Ayan when the explosion occurred out of nowhere, causing them both to sustain burns.

Their neighbors rushed them to the hospital, where Roman, one of the neighbors, revealed that on the previous Sunday evening, Parveen was cooking at home when the gas leak explosion happened. As a result, she and the child were among the five injured in the incident. They were then transferred to the district hospital and later brought to Dhaka for further treatment.

Man, what a terrible situation for these families to go through. It’s absolutely heart-wrenching to hear about these incidents happening in our neighborhoods. One can only imagine the pain and suffering they must be going through right now. Let’s all take a moment to send some positive vibes their way and hope for their speedy recovery.

And hey, let’s not forget to stay safe and alert in our own homes. Accidents like these are a stark reminder of the importance of gas safety measures. So, let’s make sure to check our gas lines regularly, follow safety protocols, and always be prepared for any unexpected emergencies. It’s better to be safe than sorry, right?

Alright, that’s all from me for now. Stay safe, everyone, and look out for one another. Take care!
