So, like, I was scrolling through my feed and stumbled upon this post by this dude Hasanat Abdullah from the National Citizen Party, right? And he was talking about how important it is to not forget and not stop, especially in the face of all the craziness happening around us. And honestly, it got me thinking, like, why do we even bother sometimes, you know? But hey, that’s just me.
Anyways, Hasanat was going on about how the funeral of Hasan, who got shot in the head on the orders of that killer Hasina, took place at Shahid Minar today. Hasan was, like, a real hero during the July uprising, standing up against Hasina’s tyranny and all that. And you know, Hasanat was all like, “We need to make sure those murderers are brought to justice, man.” But it seems like the whole justice system is just, like, stuck or something. Hasanat even mentioned how this interim government won’t be able to go anywhere without holding Hasina’s trial for her crimes. And like, even Asif, the mastermind behind the genocide, won’t be able to escape his responsibilities.
And then Hasanat went on about how Hasan was, like, our comrade in arms during those intense July days. We want justice for our fallen comrades, man. No one should be able to get away with murder. We won’t forgive, we won’t forget. It’s not just a funeral, it’s a new vow for us with each passing funeral. Remember, we won’t forget, we won’t stop.
So, yeah, Hasanat’s words really hit home for me. It’s like, we can’t just sit back and let things slide, you know? We gotta keep fighting, keep pushing for what’s right. And maybe it’s just me, but I feel like these words are something we all need to hear right now. It’s a reminder that no matter how tough things get, we can’t give up. We gotta keep going, keep fighting for justice, keep standing up against tyranny. Because hey, maybe it’s just me, but I believe we can make a difference if we just don’t forget and don’t stop.
