So, like, guess who showed up at Heathrow International Airport in London to come back to Bangladesh? Yep, it’s only the chairperson of BNP and former prime minister, Begum Khaleda Zia! She like, arrived at the airport terminal gate number 4 at around 2:20 pm on Monday.
Before that, around 1:30 pm, her big son, BNP’s Vice-Chairman Tarique Rahman, dropped her off at the airport on the way from their home in Kingston. He was driving the car that took her there.
Joining Khaleda Jiya on her journey back home are her older son’s wife, Dr. Zobaida Rahman, and her younger son’s widow, Sayeda Shamim Rahman.
A reliable source from BNP has revealed that Khaleda Jiya has undergone regular health check-ups and family consultations while in London. The decision to return home was made after receiving the green signal from medical experts.
During her stay in London, Khaleda Jiya sought advice from several specialist doctors and maintained strict discipline within the family.
After arriving in the country, she will be heading to her residence ‘Firoza’ in Gulshan, the capital. The residence has already been prepared for her arrival.
