Renowned Legal Expert Asif Nazrul Proposes Amendment to Rape Laws

1. Establishment of Special Tribunals: In cases of rape in Asia, special tribunals will be set up to conduct investigations within seven days and submit a report, ensuring that the trial of the perpetrators is completed within one month, leading to the issuance of the death penalty.

2. Expedited Trial Process: Special tribunals will be established for the trial of each rape case, ensuring that all rape cases are swiftly adjudicated.

3. Accountability for Failures: In matters of women and children’s safety, senior state advisors, legal experts, and child protection experts will be held accountable for any failures and required to provide explanations.

4. Formation of Anti-Harassment Cells: All educational institutions and workplaces will be mandated to establish ‘Women and Children Anti-Harassment Cells’ to ensure their effectiveness and operational efficiency.

5. Cyberbullying Legislation: Amendments will be made to cyberbullying laws related to sexual assault and social communication to clearly define and identify offenses.
