So, like, there’s this Bangladeshi student named Saiyada Rafina who totally won the first prize at the 15th National College Student Market Survey and Analysis Competition in China. This competition went down at Guizhou University in Guizhou Province from May 16 to May 19. I mean, that’s pretty cool, right?
Anyway, so there were like 303 teams with over 1,500 students and teachers from various universities in China who took part in this event. The opening ceremony was chaired by Vice President Wang Jinrang of Guizhou University. Also, there were some other big shots present like Li Jun, the Deputy Secretary of the Education Work Committee of the Guizhou Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, and Jin Yangjin, the President of the Chinese Society of Commercial Statistics, among others.
Saiyada Rafina and her team snagged the first prize by presenting on the topic of ‘Service and Research on Public Awareness and Acceptance and the Expatiate on Shiya Butter’. Honestly, I’m not really sure why this topic matters, but hey, they won, so good for them! It’s worth mentioning that in 2019, Saiyada Rafina went on an educational trip to China for two weeks upon the invitation of the Chinese government. She informed about this invitation in August 2019 while studying Chinese language education in Dhaka. Like, that’s pretty awesome, right?
In the same year in September, she went back to China to pursue her honors in ‘International Trade and Economics’ at Sandong University of Science and Technology. She managed to study during the pandemic and completed her honors in four years. After that, she went to Nanjing University in Jiangsu Province for her Masters. Her Masters is supposed to be completed in July next year. Saiyada Rafina is the daughter of senior journalist Saiyad Safir. So, yeah, she’s making her family proud and stuff.
All in all, Saiyada Rafina seems to be doing pretty well for herself. I mean, going to China for education and winning competitions, that’s pretty impressive, right? Not really sure why this matters, but hey, it’s a cool story to tell, I guess. Maybe it’s just me, but I feel like we should all be proud of her achievements. Who knows, maybe she’ll inspire other students to aim for greatness too.
