India-US visa restrictions on various Indian travel agencies

The US Department of State announced the imposition of visa restrictions in a statement on Monday (May 19).
According to the statement, the US embassies and consulates in India are working daily to identify and verify illegal immigration, human trafficking, and those involved in such activities. Those who have knowingly aided in illegal immigration to the United States are now facing visa restrictions imposed by the US Department of State. This move aims to break the cycle of human trafficking and ensure the effectiveness of Washington’s visa restrictions in the future.
Furthermore, the statement also mentioned that our immigration policy is not only aimed at raising awareness about the risks of illegal entry for foreigners in the United States but also holding accountable those who violate this law. Those who assist in illegal immigration are also included in this accountability.
Establishing law and order and ensuring the security of US citizens are of utmost importance for our immigration law and policy. Additionally, under these visa restrictions, even those who usually fall under the visa waiver program will be affected, as stated by the US Department of State.
Since taking office in January, President Donald Trump has continuously taken steps to crack down on illegal immigrants from the country. The US administration has already sent thousands of illegal immigrants back to their home countries from various countries around the world.
Indian illegal residents are also on that list. Just a few days ago, with hands and waist tied, the American administration sent Indians back to their country on a plane.
