So, like, in Lalmonirhat, something really tragic happened, you know. It’s like, a worker named Maruf Hossain (22) died while cleaning a septic tank, man. Another worker, Rahim Mia (30), got injured in the accident, you know.
This whole thing went down on Saturday morning at around 11 am in the Satpatki area of Mahendranagar Union in the district headquarters upazila, you know. Maruf, the deceased, was the son of Abdul Khalek from the Rajpur Union area of the same upazila, man. And Rahim, the injured guy, is the son of Mofazzal Hossain from the same area, you know.
The officer-in-charge (OC) of Lalmonirhat Sadar Police Station, Mohammad Nurnabi, like, informed that two workers were cleaning a septic tank at Juhurul Haque’s house in the Satpatki area in the morning, you know. So, like, when they felt the effects of toxic gas, Rahim quickly got up and managed to escape, but poor Maruf got stuck inside, man. Later, a rescue team from the fire service arrived at the scene upon receiving information from the locals and retrieved Maruf’s lifeless body from inside the tank and sent it to Lalmonirhat Sadar Hospital morgue, you know.
At first glance, it is believed that Maruf died due to inhaling toxic gas, man. However, the police officer said they are investigating whether there are any other reasons for his death, you know.
